HAND CARVED MEMORIALS

Thoughtfully Designed, Expertly Carved

Custom slate gravestones, flat markers, and pet memorials. Each gravestone is hand carved and individually designed. Andrew Carr, RISD '06, works in the traditional stonecutting methods of New England, based in Somerville, MA.

Through a balance of craftsmanship and thoughtful design, upright memorials preserve a life in stone while resonating with all those who visit.

Modest in scale, flat markers can be carefully designed to reflect the life and character of the individuals they honor.

The love for a pet is often as deep as that for a human. Pet memorials honor the deep bond shared with a beloved companion and preserve their memory.

Carefully carved signage—including house numbers, date stones, and personal inscriptions—adds a lasting presence to architecture and place.

MY UNIQUE APPROACH

A hand carved memorial is more than just a name and date; it’s a lasting work of art that honors a life lived. Each piece is crafted with care, transforming raw stone into a unique tribute that tells a personal story.
